Solid Sender is an improvisational modern jazz combo that derives it’s inspiration from the musical stylings of Steven Burnstein’s Knitting Factory jazz band Sex Mob and the 60’s and 70’s era Miles Davis. Expect an avant-garde sound that draws on jazz’s tradition of taking the familiar, disassembling it and then building it back anew.

Suaze is a Birmingham producer and DJ who is an intrinsic thread through the fabric of Birmingham’s music scene. He will be digging out a selection of jazz and related sounds from his extensive record collection and spinning tracks to open the show and during intermission.
