Dr. Wilson from the Jefferson County Dept of Health is hosting a Narcan training session to the Firehouse. All participants will receive a FREE Narcan kit with a couple doses in it.
At this workshop, five people will play about 20 minute sets, followed by the audience constructively critiquing the performance for about 5 minutes.
After everyone has played, names will be picked from a hat and there will be 3 short improvised duo sets.
The purpose is to give those who are experienced a chance to try out new ideas in front of a receptive group, and get useful feedback on it; and give new folks a chance to get comfortable with what they're doing in a low pressure environment.
Musically, this doesn't specifically have to be "noise" or "synths," etc.; sets do not have to use traditional instruments.

The goal of Artist Night is to give a space and time to Birmingham artists and friends to talk about what we're each doing or want to do. This time, a few folks will be working on some projects to donate to Studio By The Tracks' summer benefit, Art From the Heart. Anyone is welcome to join. There will be wine/beer/snacks and plenty of surface space available to work on. Most tools at the studio will be available (drill press, small power tools, etc). But none of the supplies (like paint, nails, etc) will be, unless specified.
